Solid and easy to handle, the Alloy M is an excellent baitcaster. ADC12 aluminum alloy is used for the reel, offering outstanding durability, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, and abrasion resistance. Weighting just over 7.4 ounces, it is a lightweight reel. We didn't feel weighed down after several long days on the water with the Alloy M. The magnetic braking is excellent. With its 12 magnets, it effectively prevents bird nests and backlash. It also has an incredibly durable drag system. We were surprised at how well it performed, given that it was made from 4 carbon washers and a Hamai CNC brass gear. In spite of all the things we threw at it, the drag was able to keep up. It's smooth to cast and retrieve. The Alloy M baitcaster handles well in both conditions unlike most other reels we've tested over the years. Its eight double-shielded ball bearings and one roller bearing ensure smooth retrieval even at high loads. One of the reasons for the smooth feel on the retrieve could be attributed to the oversized knobs and handle. They increase the likelihood of catching heavy lunkers because of the leverage they provide. Piscifun's Alloy M Baitcasting Reel is one of the best baitcasting reels at a fantastic price.
